Chris Gordon, guitar teacher at the NJ School of Music in Cherry Hill, has been teaching and performing through out the country for the past 25 years. He has performed and recorded with such artist as Ted Neely, Arturo Sandoval, David Bromberg just to name a few. As a teacher Chris focuses on the goals of the individual student keeping them inspired and giving them the tools they need to pursue their own personal vision as an artist.
Chris' approach includes ear training, and the importance of listening. He also equips students with techniques that allow them to face challenges that the instrument may present. As a band director Chris feels strongly about allowing students to experience the real world of live performance at local venues, while conducting seminars on the Music Industry and the realities of a working musician.
Chris also has an extensive training program that prepares students for college auditions, these training programs have had a 100% success rate in participants receiving scholarships to the music school of their choice.
Chris' passion for teaching and sharing his experiences and insights into the instrument as well as the culture of the music business has made him a sought after instructor for all levels!
